India is a land of multiple traditions, cultures, and rituals. Many festivals are celebrated with great pomp and show in the country, but the much-awaited festival is Shardiya Navratri, which is dedicated to Maa Durga. This year Shardiya Navratri will start from 7th October 2021 and finish on 15th October 2021, with Vijay Dashmi. The Navratris are celebrated four times in a year in our country – twice Gupt Navratris and Chaitra and Shardiya Navratri. For nine days, nine forms of Maa Durga are being worshipped. Installation of the Kalash or Kalash Sthapana marks the beginning of the worship of Navratri. This year on 7th October, the auspicious time is from 6:17 AM to 7:07 AM for the Kalash Sthapana. During this time, if Kalash is established, then the Navratri will be fruitful. Now the Calendar of the Shardiya Navratri is as follows: 7th October (Maa Shailputri), 8th October (Maa Brahmacharini), 9th October (Maa Chandraghanta and Maa Kushmanda), 10th October (Maa Skandmata), 11th October (Maa Katyayani), 12th October (Maa Kalratri), 13th October (Maa Mahagauri and Kanya Pujan will be performed), 14th October (Maa Siddhidatri and Kanya Pujan) and on 15th October, Navratri fast will be finished, and Vijay Dashmi or Dussehra will be celebrated. Wishing everyone A Very Happy Navratri and Happy Dussehra!
