Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshwara Guru Sakshat Param Brahma, Tasmai Shri Gurave Namaha Guru Purnima is the day to celebrate the significance and importance of “Guru” or Teacher or Mentor in one’s life. This festival is considered very holy as the blessings are taken from the Gurus, and the Gurus are worshipped on this day. Generally, Gurus are considered as the persons who give us knowledge and take us from the darkness to the light of wisdom. The birthday of Maharishi Vyas is also celebrated on this day. Considering the belief, Ashadh Month’s full moon day of Shukla Paksha is called Guru Purnima. It is also known by other names such as Vyasa Purnima, Ashad Purnima, and Ashadhi Purnima. This year in 2022, Guru Purnima will fall on Wednesday, the 13th of July 2022. The Purnima Tithi will begin on the 13th of July, 2022, at 4:01 AM, and end on the 14th of July, 2022, at 12:07 AM. The prayers on this day are believed to reach the Gurus directly, and their blessings remove darkness and gloominess from one’s life. Wake up early on this day and clean the house. Take the daily routine tasks such as bathing, Puja etc., and worship your Gurus and have their blessings. Celebrate this festival with great belief, faith, and a pure heart. Per their affordability, followers may donate sweets, fruits, grains, flowers, garlands, clothes, etc., to their Gurus. The parents and other family elders are also considered Gurus. We wish you all a Very Happy Guru Poornima 2022! May you all be blessed and happy always.
