Krishna Janmashtami 2021: Date and Importance!

Festival Season is going around, and after Raksha Bandhan, everyone would be waiting for the festival of Janmashtami with great enthusiasm. This festival is celebrated all across India with great charm. This year, it will be celebrated on August 30, 2021 Monday. According to the Hindu Calendar, the Janmashtami Festival will fall on the Ashtami Date of the Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month. This day is also called Krishna Janmashtami because, as per the belief, Shree Krishna was born in Dwapara Yuga on this day. That is why, on this day, the child form of Lord Krishna is worshipped with Gangajal, Panchamrit, Makhan-Mishri, etc.  This year Ashtami Tithi will start from 11:25 PM on August 29 and will end on August 30 in the night at 1:59 PM. Some devotees will keep a fast on August 29, but simultaneously, the ritual of Krishna birth will be celebrated on August 30. So, in this situation, some devotees will keep fast on August 30, 2021. After waking up in Brahma Muhurta during the fast, take a bath, wear neat clothes, and then perform Puja. On this day, sweets made of coconut, Makhan-Mishri, is being offered to Lord Krishna. The devotees also celebrate it either through a skit or play or by putting up an incredible “Jhaankis” in the form of decorations and motifs. We wish Happy Krishna Janmashtami to everyone!
