Raksha Bandhan: When is Raksha Bandhan in 2021?

As per the Hindu Calendar, Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated on the full moon day of Shravan Month’s Shukla Paksha. This year, it will be celebrated on 22 August 2021, Sunday in Dhanishtha Nakshatra. The holy time of Raksha Bandhan will start from the evening of 21 August, Saturday. Therefore, special care should be taken care of the auspicious time for this festival. Both the inauspicious periods, Rahu Kaal and Bhadra Kaal, should be considered, and Rakhi is not tied during this period. The auspicious time of tying the Rakhi is from 1:42 PM to 4:18 PM on 22 August. According to the Panchang, on 21 August 2021, from 7:01 PM, the date of Purnima will start, which will continue till 22 August 2021, 5:31 PM.
